AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS (NI)

Am I Next? Layoffs at National Instruments.

Austin, Texas-based National Instruments, a producer of automated test equipment and virtual instrumentation software, has announced a 9% reduction in force to meet the business challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 650 employees are impacted by the decision, including approximately 200 employees located in Austin, Texas.

NI CEO, Eric Starkloff, noted, "We have and will continue to take a broad range of actions to ignite growth. Building on our unique software position, we believe we have the opportunity to once again modernize and disrupt our industry. We remain focused on execution in the areas of our business that can drive our growth even within the constraints of an overall weaker spending environment. The actions we are taking, on both reductions and investments, are focused on achieving long-term growth.”

“Our customers have felt the economic impact created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and so have we. We now know that the global recovery will be longer and more gradual than just about anyone initially predicted.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
