Am I Next. Legacy Supply Chain Services - Layoffs - Cost Contract.

Reno, Nevada-based Legacy Supply Chain Service, a third-party logistics and warehouse operator, has announced the layoff of 257 workers at the Jeffersonville, Indiana warehouse operated for the Chinese-based appliance maker Haier Group which owns GE Appliances. The warehouse will be operated by another third-party logistics vendor, Dart Warehouse Corporation, and there is no guarantee that it will hire current employees or maintain their seniority, salaries, and benefits. It appears that the new logistics company will seek to divorce itself from further employee obligations by using a temporary services agency as an intermediary to supply workers for the warehouse and assembly operations.

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
