SEPTEMBER 23, 2022 — ATLANTA, GEORGIA FACILITY CLOSURE WITH 87 LAYOFFS. LONGWOOD, FLORIDA FACILITY CLOSURE WITH 58 LAYOFFS.

The company is closing its Atlanta, Georgia payment remittance processing center — impacting 87 employees. Layoffs are scheduled for 12/16/22.

The company is also closing its Longwood, Florida facility, laying off 58 people, which is scheduled for February 28, 2023.

Employees and services at these plants were operated by Synchrony Financial which was acquired approximately two years ago.

According to a company spokesperson, “Deluxe has focused on our overall real estate footprint, determining where we could realize efficiencies and cost savings, consolidating work in certain geographic areas.”

The company has closed 24 facilities in 2020.

APRIL 8, 2021 — LEWISTON, MAINE REMITTANCE PROCESSING CENTER TO CLOSE WITH 40 LAYOFFS

The company continues to consolidate its Lock Box business activities and has announced that it will close its Lewiston, Maine remittance processing center. Lockbox activities will be transferred to other remittance processing centers in Chicago, Illinois, and Newark, Delaware.

Approximately 40 employees will be laid off and the remaining 20 will continue to be employed as “remote workers” in other Deluxe operations. The closure is scheduled for August 1, 2021.

Shoreview, Minnesota-based Deluxe Corporation, a small business financial services company providing checks and other business services has announced that they will be closing their Greensboro, North Carolina customer support call center facility by November 2020 which will impact more than 100+ employees.

According to a company spokesperson, “Deluxe announced it will cease operations in its Greensboro, North Carolina site by the end of November. Deluxe is in the process of consolidating our real estate footprint to create “hubs” in various locations in the country. Call center operations at the Greensboro location are being relocated to our facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Some of the current positions in Greensboro will be relocated within that community and eligible employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to Kansas City. Employees in Greensboro will be provided with competitive severance packages and job placement support during this transition."

The company is undergoing transformation and has divided its operations into four operational and reportable areas.

• Payments – This segment includes the Company's treasury management solutions, including remittance and lockbox processing, remote deposit capture, receivables management, payment processing, and paperless treasury management, in addition to payroll and disbursement services, including ePayments and fraud and security services.

• Cloud Solutions – This segment includes web hosting and design services, data-driven marketing solutions, and hosted solutions, including digital engagement, logo design, financial institution profitability reporting and account switching tools, and business incorporation services.

• Promotional Solutions – This segment includes business forms, accessories, advertising specialties, promotional apparel, retail packaging, and strategic sourcing services.

• Checks – This segment includes printed personal and business checks. In conjunction with the above realignment, the Company will begin presenting corporate operations, consisting of those costs that are not directly attributable to a business segment. Such costs will consist primarily of marketing, accounting, information technology, facilities, executive management, legal, tax and treasury costs that support the corporate function. Corporate operations will also include other income.
