AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT NTT AMERICA

Charlotte, North Carolina-based NTT America, a division of Tokyo, Japan-based Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, a provider of telecommunication service, including voice, data, and internet communications solutions in North America, has announced that it will be laying off 151 employees at its Ballantyne office located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The layoffs, including employees in accounting, billing, credit, and collections, inside client managers and specialists, and purchasing agents are scheduled during a two-week period commencing December 6, 2021.

According to a company spokesperson, “NTT is undergoing the next phase of our global transformation that will improve client centricity, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Additionally, this will allow NTT to continue to invest in new innovations across our IT services and infrastructure, networks, cloud and edge, all growth opportunities for the company, such as we recently rolled out private 5G network-as-a-service capability and data center builds throughout the world.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
