AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT KICHLER LIGHTING

Independence, Ohio-based Kichler Lighting, a developer of decorative residential and commercial lighting products, ceiling fans and LED lighting systems, has announced a restructuring to capitalize on the benefits of a remote workforce.

The company will be closing its Independence, Ohio headquarters and distribution center to relocate approximately 17-miles in Solon, Ohio in the greater Cleveland area. The restructuring and relocation will impact approximately 85 employees.

According to Irene Tasi, the President of Kichler Lighting. "Many Kichler Lighting employees have been working remotely, with significant success, since the start of the pandemic. Productivity has remained constant, and employees have indicated a preference for this new way of working. We firmly believe making a permanent change to a flexible workforce will help Kichler Lighting attract and retain top talent locally and beyond, as well as increase our company’s competitive edge.”

Kichler fixtures are manufactured in China and the finished product is packed for final installation in our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
