NOVEMBER 6, 2021— 125 LAYOFFS IN GREENCASTLE, INDIANA — WILL CLOSE FACILITY

The company has announced plans to lay off 125 employees at its Greencastle, Indiana facility due to "unforeseen business circumstances."

The layoffs are scheduled to occur between beginning on or December 10, 2021, and December 31, 2021, as per previous announcements

It appears that the company is planning to close the facility in 2022 with operations transferred to the company’s facility located in Alma, Michigan.

Southfield, Michigan-based International Automotive Components (North America), a manufacturer of automotive trim and components, has announced that it will be conducting a major reduction in force which will leave only a few employees in its Greencastle, Indiana plant to handle small parts and some service work by the end of 2021 The layoffs will be staged over a five-month period commencing in August 2021 and will impact 335 employees. Operations are said to be transferred to the company's plants in Michigan.

According to a company spokesperson, "IAC Group confirms that employees at its Greencastle, Indiana, manufacturing facility have been informed that the facility will undergo layoffs in August 2021. The layoffs come following a thorough analysis of IAC’s manufacturing capacity and alignment with customer production plans."
