AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT MOLDED FIBER GLASS COMPANIES

Am I Next? Wind turbine blade plant closure.

Ashtabula, Ohio-based Molded Fiber Glass Companies, a manufacturer of reinforced plastic and composite products, has announced the closure of the company's Aberdeen, South Dakota manufacturing facility that produces wind turbine blades for the wind energy industry. Approximately 300 employees will be impacted by August 6, 2021 or sooner.

According to a company statement, "The closure comes as a result of changes in market conditions, foreign competition and proposed revisions to tax policies impacting the wind energy industry in the United States."

Many employees are questioning President Biden's continued promotion of good, high-paying jobs in the renewable solar and wind energy space.

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
