Spirit Lake, Iowa-based Rembrandt Enterprises, one of the world's largest in-line egg-producing processors to the foodservice and food ingredients industries, has announced a personnel realignment at its Buena Vista egg-laying facility in Rembrandt, Iowa.
The realignment impacted at least 200 hourly employees.
The decision appears to have been driven by the euthanization of 5.3 million commercial egg-laying hens after the Highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was detected in the county in March 2022.
