AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT CIRCULO HEALTH

Columbus, Ohio-based Circulo Health, a Medicaid managed care delivery platform providing technology-enabled care to Medicare recipients, has announced a restructuring that will shutter its original Medicaid health plan and primary care clinic business to focus on technology-backed home- and community services (HCBS).

The restructuring will impact 33% of Circulo's workforce, primarily those associated with product development and services roles for Circulo Health’s Medicaid insurance plan and primary care clinic businesses. Those working in the HCBS segment were not impacted by the layoffs.

The HCBS division, named Circulo Home, serves the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) using direct support professionals who guide people with IDDs toward independence and community integration.

According to the vice president of IDD programs, Tom McMahon, "the company will use part of the tech and other tools the insurance business developed to bolster the HCBS business. These will include workforce management, session and client tracking, and other to-be-developed tools to improve the lives of people with IDDs."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
