AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT HIGHSPOT

Seattle, Washington-based Highspot Software, a provider of sales management software, has announced a 15% reduction in force in a second round of layoffs.

The reduction in force will impact 140 employees following a previous 10% (95 employees) reduction in February 2023.

CEO Robert Wahbe noted, "We are well capitalized and currently forecast being cash flow positive next year. Unfortunately, restructuring our business means we lose great people. Our first priority is ensuring those impacted have the time and resources to find new roles. The hard decisions we’re making now will steward our company’s future, but they also impact the lives of the colleagues we’re losing."

“As we look ahead, sales enablement budgets are predicted to increase by at least 50% in the next two years, and we are the technology leader in the category. Today’s changes position us to invest in growth areas such as product and engineering including generative AI — and build a profitable company that delights our customers worldwide.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
