AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD

Chicago, Illinois-based Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate services firm, has announced the loss of a major contract to provide services at Google-owned properties in Mountain View, California. Other lessers sites in the Bay area are also included.

The contract loss will impact 733 employees with separations in June 25, 2023.

The majority of portfolio management operations will be transitioned to Chicago, Illinois-based JLL with some properties in San Jose transitioning to Dallas, Texas-based CBRE, both large commercial real estate management firms.

According to a company statement,

"Cushman & Wakefield will no longer be providing services to this client, as our contract is ending soon."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
