AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT AIRBORN

Georgetown, Texas-based AirBorn, a manufacturer of electronic connectors for the military and aerospace markets, has announced plans to close its Taunton, Massachusetts, contract manufacturing facility, with the closure to begin at the end of 2025 and be finalized by the end of 2026.

The closure will impact 86 employees, including assemblers, inventory coordinators, manufacturing technicians, and other positions.

According to the company, “This decision is not a reflection of our dedicated employees at the site. AirBorn operates in changing markets that require the business to align its resources with customer demand. We are grateful for our employees’ continued dedication, hard work, and commitment to AirBorn and our customers.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else?
