Matawan, New Jersey-based Staffing Synergies, a provider of staffing and human resources services to contract packing, manufacturing, distribution centers, has announced the closure of its offices in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.

The closure will impact 246 employees with separations scheduled for March 14, 2022.

No reason for the closure was given by the company, but it is believed that the pandemic and supply chain disruptions severely impacted the logistics industry.

Am I Next? Call center contract loss at Roth Staffing.

Orange, California-based Roth Staffing Companies, a full-services employment staffing company supplying administrative, clerical, light industrial, accounting and finance, technology, attorneys, and legal professionals to companies, has announced that it will be laying off 112 employees working at an AAA (Automobile Club) Supernumber Call Center located in Heathrow, Florida. Layoffs will commence on December 31, 2020.

The decision was driven by the AAA which decided to use its own employees to replace third-party employees for the call center. Included in the layoffs are 98 customer service agents.
