Carrollton, Texas-based Aventiv Technologies, a diversified technology company that provides telephone and technology services to incarcerated inmates and staff in the corrections and government services sectors, has announced a strategic shift in the firm’s operations with an accompanying reduction in force.
The personnel realignment has impacted 272 employees who work in Carrollton, Texas, including 74 North Texas remote workers reporting to the company's Carrollton location.
A company spokesperson noted, “Our strategic direction is shifting from one that was more labor intensive through the mass deployment of tablets, to a balanced approach providing a richer experience for our customers and consumers through the use of third-party applications on our technology platform. This has reduced our staffing needs. While headquartered in Dallas, the majority of our workforce is virtual."
