AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT EDGEWELL PERSONAL CARE COMPANY

Shelton, Connecticut-based Edgewell Personal Care Company, a consumer products company, has announced the closure of its Schick plant in Milford, Connecticut, by the end of 2027.

The closure will affect 293 employees, with layoffs scheduled for March 2, 2026, through March 16, 2026.

A spokesperson noted that the closure is a part of a broader strategic business decision, and the closure will happen in phases. The company's corporate headquarters will remain in Connecticut, and it will continue to be a prominent employer in the state.

Change is constant, and it is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT DOTERRA

Pleasant Grove, Utah-based doTerra, a multi-level marketing company selling essential oils and other natural wellness products, has announced a 7% reduction in force as part of a continuing restructuring and cost containment initiative.

The reduction in force will impact 290 employees

According to a company statement, “This restructuring includes global workforce reductions by approximately seven percent, a decision made after careful consideration of its profound impact on affected employees, who will receive comprehensive support packages, including severance benefits, outplacement services, and extended healthcare benefits.

According to employees, "Laid-off employees signed separation agreements that included confidentiality and non-disparagement clauses — a practice the National Labor Relations Board banned last year but still persists. Such clauses have historically prevented employees from speaking out after being laid off and disclosing any details about workplace conditions."
