AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT NATURE'S BAKERY

Reno, Nevada-based Nature's Bakery, a snack brand known for their soft-baked whole-wheat fig bars, has announced plans to close its Hazelwood, Missouri, manufacturing plant in 2027, with manufacturing operations transferred to other Nature’s Bakery facilities

The closure will impact 345 employees, with layoffs occurring in two phases. The first round of layoffs, affecting 130 employees, is scheduled for September 11, 2026, with the remaining 215 separating on February 26, 2027.

A company spokesman noted, "All affected employees were formally notified of closure plans, and employees will have the opportunity to apply for other positions in the company or elsewhere with Mars Inc., which owns the snack brand."

Change is constant, and it's coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
