The company has confirmed its second round of layoffs that will impact 4% of its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact approximately 120 employees.

According to a company statement, “As part of our ongoing efforts to align our business with strategic priorities, we recently made the difficult but necessary decision to restructure certain areas of our organization. This decision was not made lightly, and we extend our gratitude to all impacted employees for their contributions and dedication during their time at Five9. We are proactively working to support those affected during this transition and remain focused on our long-term vision and the continued success of our employees, customers, partners, and stakeholders.

This action was believed to be driven by an activist investor demanding increased performance.

San Ramon, California-based Five9, operator of a cloud-based customer engagement/call center, has announced a 7% reduction in its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact approximately 188 employees.

According to CEO Mike Burkland, 'Sadly, we have made the very difficult decision to say painful goodbyes to some of our team members. The workforce reduction plan is part of the Company’s broader efforts to drive balanced, profitable growth, further supporting our positive, long-term outlook and focus on increasing shareholder value.

Coral Gables, Florida-based T-Roc ("The Revenue Optimization Companies") Global, a provider of sales support services to businesses, hass announced a major reduction in force followith the loss of a contract (non-renewal) to sell wireless serices in Walmart in-store locations.

The personnel realignment will impact 302 employees located in Florida and 162 employees in Alabama locations. Positions include managers and sales associates.

According to a company spokesperson, "After many years of successful projects, this particular program has reached its expiration. T-ROC continues to provide multiple services to this client, maintaining a strong partnership that has spanned over 15 years."
