AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT INNOVACCER

San Francisco, California-based Innovaccer, a digital health platform operator that helps its clients connect healthcare data across multiple systems and settings, has announced a 15% reduction in its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact 245 employees.

As a result, we are going to deprioritize certain areas and offerings that distract us from our core portfolio, which will result in a reduction of workforce by approximately 15%."

"Our priority is to fully support the impacted employees, including by offering a generous package, transitional health insurance benefits, and job placement support."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT DESERT SPRINGS HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER

Las Vegas-based Valley Health System, an operator of regional hospitals, has announced that Desert Springs Hospital and Medical Center, a regional hospital serving the Las Vegas area, will cease hospital operations and convert to a free-standing emergency room.

The conversion will impact 970 employees when inpatient services cease on or about March 11, 2023.

According to a hospital spokesperson, “Although Desert Springs Hospital has performed admirably during this extraordinary time, we continue to encounter existing and new challenges as an organization. As you know, we are an aging facility with complex physical constraints. Due to those factors, the assessment of the future state of the hospital has been under review for some time. The required renovations would be highly disruptive to operations and require a significant capital investment."

“Coupled with the fast-changing landscape of healthcare, which includes labor shortages and cost increases due to inflation, these unanticipated challenges have expedited the need to adapt our operations.”
