AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT ZSCALER

San Jose, California-based Zscaler, a cloud security company offering cloud migration services, has announced a 3% reduction in its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact 177 employees.

According to CFO Remo Canessa, “The recurring nature of our business model gives us good visibility on top-line revenue and allows us to adapt quickly to changes in market conditions to deliver on our operating profit and margin goals. If the environment becomes more challenging, we will continue to prioritize profitability, leveraging our strong unit economics and driving efficiencies in our cost structure.”

“We will continue to hire the best candidates in high-priority areas. Zscaler expects its global workforce reduction to be substantially complete by the end of July, but Canessa hinted at the possibility of more layoffs later in the year."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT ALLIED UNIVERSAL SECURITY SERVICES

Santa Ana, California-based Allied Universal Security Services, a provider of security and janitorial services and staffing, has announced a major reduction in force.

The personnel adjustment will affect 1,203 employees located in Seattle, Washington, and Kent, Washington, with layoffs scheduled for December 19, 2022.

The layoffs are attributed to the loss of a contract to provide security services to Amazon.

According to a company spokesperson, "The layoffs affects employees at Amazon locations where the company's security services will come to an end later this year. We will work with any employees who wish to remain with Allied Universal to find a suitable alternate assignment within the company with minimal interruption to their work schedule."
