AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT TTM TECHNOLOGIES

Costa Mesa, California-based TTM Technologies, a manufacturer of technologically advanced printed circuit boards, and radio-frequency components including microwave/microelectronic assemblies, has announced plans to close selected facilities, including printed circuit board PCB manufacturing operations in Anaheim and Santa Clara, California, and Hong Kong and consolidate the business from these impacted sites into TTM’s remaining facilities.

The closures will impact 240 employees in Santa Clara, California, 102 employees in Anaheim, California, and an unknown number of Hong Kong employees.

According to Tom Edman, President and CEO of TTM Technologies, “Although demand for our aerospace and defense business remains very strong, current macro-economic conditions are causing a softening of demand for our commercial business. This has necessitated the need for us to streamline our manufacturing operations. These are extremely difficult decisions, and we realize these actions will likely have a significant impact on the lives of our dedicated employees at the Anaheim, Santa Clara, and Hong Kong locations. We will work with our employees to assist them through this transition.

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?

"St. Bernard Soap Company is one portion of a bar soap supply chain that consists of a combination of P&G plants and various contract manufacturing partners. As we focus on the most effective and efficient supply chain to provide consumers with our bar soaps, we are consolidating contract manufacturing partners and will continue production at a P&G-owned plant for scale and efficiency."

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT NOVANT HEALTH (06/28/24)

JUNE 28, 2024 — 170+ EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING 81 IT EMPLOYEES TERMINATED

The company has announced that 81 employees at a Novant Health facility located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina will be permanently laid off on August 25, 2024.

In 2023, we announced a new IT model for our Digital Products and Services (DPS) team, transferring some DPS services to an external partner. As a continuation of this work, we are shifting additional DPS functions to Deloitte Digital, which will reduce our use of other external partners by more than 90 percent. These changes allow us to scale our resources so we can continue our investment in creating a healthier future for the people and communities we serve.

DPS team members will see adjustments in their roles and responsibilities because of this change, while other roles are being phased out. Fewer than 300 team members, or less than 0.8% of the nearly 40,000 positions across our health system, are impacted by this change. Interested team members may have the opportunity to join our external partners or transition to roles within Novant Health. For other team members, we are extending resources to ease the transition and are grateful for their service to Novant Health and our patients.

An additional 90 ayoffs will occur in Indian Land, South Carolina. on August 25, 2024.
