AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT GROUNDGAME. HEALTH

Tampa, Florida-based GroundGame.Health, a business process enterprise working with health plans, employers, and community organizations to identify individuals who may need help and then connect them with services such as food assistance, transportation, housing support, and help with medical or medication costs, has announced a reduction in its workforce.

The reduction will impact nearly 100 employees, including outreach workers, seven vice presidents, the chief financial officer, and the chief growth officer. Layoffs will commence on July 11, 2025.

According to a company spokesperson, "The cuts are the result of the current administration’s shift in public policy priorities and influence on government programs that led to some of our clients having to pause their initiatives and reduce their spending, including on programs like ours that have demonstrated a strong return on investment. After careful consideration and what's going on, we've made that difficult decision to reduce our workforce to position our company for long-term success.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?

Winter Park, Florida-based Full Sail University, a private for-profit educational institution specializing in film and media studies, has announced a reduction in force.

The reduction will impact 120 employees.

According to a company statement, “As part of our efforts to align our staffing with current priorities and to support the long-term success of the university, we have implemented a workforce reduction. This included 120 employees, comprised primarily of staff positions, with some faculty as part of the reduction. This decision, while difficult, follows a careful review that aligns our resources and capabilities for long-term sustainability.

We stand firmly committed to providing an exceptional educational experience. There will be no changes to our course offerings or services as we remain confident in our ability to meet the needs of our students and graduates."
