Austin, Texas-based Southwest Key Programs, a nonprofit organization that operates shelter facilities for unaccompanied immigrant minors and immigrant youth, as well as youth justice and educational programs, has announced a mass reduction in force due to a sudden and unforeseen federal funding freeze and a stop placement order from the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

The reduction in force will impact 1,467 employees located in Texas, Arizona, California, Georgia, New York, Wisconsin, and Florida.

According to a spokesperson, “It is with a heavy heart we share, as a nationwide provider for the Office of Refugee Resettlement, Southwest Key Programs, received a stop placement notice from the federal government on February 28, 2025, for all of our programs serving Unaccompanied Children. This unexpected notice has created a challenging situation for Southwest Key. Southwest Key Programs is committed to ensuring an orderly transition in close coordination with our federal partners. We appreciate our dedicated staff, whose professionalism and compassion have shaped our programs and aided those we serve. Southwest Key Programs has modified its operations at some locations in line with national policy changes. As such, we made the difficult decision to conduct a reduction in force.”

LABOR DAY 2025: MALIGNANCY OF LABOR UNIONS

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, was created by the labor movement and is dedicated to American workers' social and economic achievements.

Initially, Labor Day was created as a yearly nationwide tribute to the contributions workers have made to the prosperity and well-being of our country and, secondarily, to mark a long struggle for safety and workers’ rights.

Unfortunately, due to the infiltration of the labor movement by organized crime, Marxists, socialists, and communists, much of the true meaning of this day has been lost, and it has become just another holiday for the nation.

CUT OUT THE CANCER OF BIG LABOR

Unions once claimed to stand for the working man. Today, they’re nothing more than extortion rackets infected with socialist rot.

Union bosses don’t fight for workers; they fight for power. And they’re willing to strangle businesses, hijack government, and even sacrifice your children’s future to get it.

• Private sector unions? They bleed companies dry with demands that outpace productivity. They kill innovation to keep useless jobs alive. Translation: you pay more, you get less — and they call that “fairness.”

• Public sector unions? They’ve turned government into their personal ATM. Politicians bow to them for votes and campaign cash, and taxpayers get stuck with the bill. That’s not democracy — that’s a protection racket.

• Teachers’ unions? The worst of the worst. They demand endless perks while presiding over a system that pumps out illiterate graduates. They sexualize classrooms, strip parents of rights, and treat kids like political pawns. They’re not educating — they’re indoctrinating.

Bottom Line

America already protects workers. Safe workplaces, grievance procedures, legal rights — all guaranteed. What unions want now is not fairness but control.

Big Labor isn’t protecting America. It’s metastasizing like cancer. Left unchecked, it will rot this nation into a socialist shell of itself.

So this Labor Day, I salute the honest, hardworking men and women who keep America running with grit and pride.

But as for the corrupt union bosses bleeding this country dry? Fire them. Break them. Bury them.

Because you can’t negotiate with cancer, you cut it out.

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT N&S LOCATING SERVICES

Louisa, Virginia-based S&N Infrastructure, which provides turnkey maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation services for communications and electric utilities infrastructure, has announced a reduction in force at N&S Locating Services following the loss of a large customer, Charlotte, North Carolina-based Brightspeed, an internet service provider.

The reduction will impact 126 North Carolina employees reporting to the company's Youngsville field office.

According to the company, “As a result of this unanticipated loss of business, N&S will suffer a severe drop in revenue and will be left with no choice but to lay off employees currently servicing that contract in the state.”
