AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT SERVICENOW

Santa Clara, California-based ServiceNow, a software company that supplies cloud computing platforms for the creation and management of automated business workflows, has announced another round of layoffs following the June 2026 reduction of hundreds of employees.

This latest round of layoffs will impact 133 San Diego, California employees, including senior and director-level positions and those in customer-facing roles at the San Diego office. Hundreds more companywide may be on the chopping block. Separations are scheduled for September 28, 2026.

According to a spokesperson, "As part of our ongoing efforts to evolve the business and position ServiceNow for continued growth, we are making some organizational changes that are global in nature. While these decisions are never easy, they are intended to better align our talent and resources with our strategic priorities. We remain committed to supporting impacted employees through this transition."

“We are driving efficiencies across the business, actively investing in and hiring for AI-focused skills, and managing headcount with discipline to end 2026 where we started. As we shared earlier this year, that’s how we grow sustainably and win. ServiceNow is committed to having the right talent in the right roles, and that means making necessary changes to how we are structured."

Change is constant, and it's coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT WELLSTAR HEALTH SYSTEM

Marietta, Georgia-based Wellstar Health System, a nonprofit healthcare organization, announced a cost-cutting initiative and a 2% reduction in force.

The reduction will affect 761 employees, including shared service, administrative, and corporate positions.

According to a company statement, "As a non-profit health system, Wellstar has a responsibility to regularly evaluate how we operate so we can continue to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Following a comprehensive review of our organization, we made the difficult decision to implement workforce reductions that impact our corporate and shared services functions, as well as certain administrative roles within Wellstar Medical Group. Our frontline care team roles were not impacted. These changes will help us simplify our structure, clarify roles, strengthen accountability, and move decision-making closer to the people who care for patients, while positioning Wellstar for continued long-term sustainable growth. Our mission has not changed, and our patients will continue to receive the same compassionate, high-quality care they expect from Wellstar."

"This impacts 761 employees, or about 2% of our more than 35,000 employees. Each area was evaluated individually based on its role in supporting patient care, opportunities to improve effectiveness and alignment with how we will operate going forward. As a result, the level of impact varies by department. Additionally, these decisions were shaped by analysis of industry benchmarks."
