Faribault, Minnesota-based KGP Telecommunications, a woman-owned company that identifies itself as the country's largest communications product distribution and service solution provider in the telecommunications industry, has announced a major workforce reduction at its manufacturing facilities in Warsaw, Indiana.
According to the WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice filed with the State of Indiana, "Due to a sudden decrease in business from a large customer for Assemble, Wire, Test (AWT) work, KGP anticipates conducting a permanent reduction in force of approximately 300 employees at its Warsaw, Indiana facilities." The client is rumored to be AT&T. “The primary positions impacted wi11 include manufacturing and assembly employees as well as related office personnel.” According to the notice, it is possible that one of the two facilities will be shuttered depending on the severity the business decline.
