AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT ROSKAM FOODS

Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Roskam Foods, a contract manufacturer of frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable food products, has announced the closure of its San Dimas, California, cereal and granola processing facility and its relocation to a purpose-built plant in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as part of a broader effort to streamline operations. The move is scheduled to be completed by October 1, 2026.

The closure will impact 115 employees.

According to CEO Andre LeBron, "Centralizing cereal and granola production at Grand Rapids is an investment in the future of the category and in our customers. It positions us to deliver greater efficiency, faster innovation, and the consistent quality our customers count on."

Change is constant, and it's coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
