AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT ZENIMAX MEDIA

Rockville, Maryland-based ZeniMax Media, a subsidiary of Microsoft Gaming that develops and publishes computer games for various platforms, has announced a reduction in force as part of Microsoft's broader plan to streamline operations and prioritize strategic growth areas within Microsoft Gaming.

The personnel realignment will impact 164 employees and contractors and is scheduled to take effect on September 1, 2025.

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, nor promises of a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT TECHTARGET

Newton, Massachusetts-based TechTarget, a lead generation company that utilizes its editorial content to drive buyer engagement and collect intent data, has announced a post-merger restructuring and a 10% reduction in force.

increased scale, breadth, and diversity following the 2024 business combination. The Plan involves streamlining certain areas and functions and reinvesting in

to a net reduction of up to approximately 10% of the Company’s current global colleague base."

AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT SAREPTA THERAPEUTICS

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Sarepta Therapeutics, a biotechnology company specializing in medical research and drug development with a focus on gene therapy, has announced a restructuring and a 36% reduction in force, designed to reduce operating expenses, improve financial flexibility, and meet the company’s 2027 financial obligations.

The reduction in force will impact 500 employees.

CEO Douglas Ingram said. "Over the course of 2025, Sarepta has been faced with various challenging, unexpected and impactful events. Faced with these events in such a short period of time, it would be easy, and indeed it would be tempting, to simply stay the course without making significant change, all in the hope that things will still correct and be fine, but that complacency would be irresponsible for a mission-driven organization focused on patients. Failing to adapt to current circumstances would risk Sarepta’s long term viability and reduce the chances of bringing the greatest benefit to the most patients. So, we have chosen not to be complacent. We are restructuring and making very significant changes to our strategy to ensure that we remain a vibrant, enduring, patient-centric organization focused on bringing a better life to those with rare genetic disease.”
